What is DYNAMIC SELECT®?

What is DYNAMIC SELECT® and what does it do? Mercedes-Benz DYNAMIC SELECT® is a drive mode selector that provides you with 5 ways to alter the performance of your vehicle. Each mode takes steps to change steering, shift points, and throttle to deliver a different driving experience. Mercedes-Benz DYNAMIC SELECT®: 5 Different Drive Modes

• Comfort Mode: Comfort Mode is the standard mode your vehicle will start in. This mode helps absorb road irregularities to offer a comfortable ride and also puts an emphasis on fuel economy.
• ECO Mode: ECO Mode increases fuel economy by including earlier gear changes and adjusting the climate control system. This mode is ideal for eco-conscious drivers who want to make fewer stops at the Fremont pumps. 
• Sport Mode: Steering and suspension response are altered to deliver increased athleticism as you maneuver through the Bay Area. 
• Sport+ Mode: Take the sporty character of your vehicle to new heights with this model that turns off ECO-START®®. 
• Individual Mode: Individual Mode truly allows you to make your vehicle’s performance your own. Simply input your desired shift points, steering, and more into your vehicle’s touch screen!

AMG® DYNAMIC SELECT®: 6 Different Drive Modes

You’ll find that Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and the Individual Mode are also all found on the AMG® Mercedes-Benz DYNAMIC SELECT®. Yet, they differ from there. For the AMG® version, ECO Mode is removed. Instead, you’ll find two performance-focused drive modes that will bolster your handling: 

• Slippery Mode: Encountering wet roads can create issues. Slippery Mode helps you remain in control in situations where you could otherwise lose traction. 
• RACE Mode: RACE Mode helps you let loose at the track so you get to experience the performance that AMG® models were designed for.
