C 300 vs. 330i: Performance
A turbocharged 2.0L inline-four engine, selectable drive modes, and high-performance 17-inch wheels come as standard on both the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C 300 and the 2020 BMW 330i. Still, Newark drivers will find the BMW 330i lacks the gears and smooth transitions of the C 300. The C 300 sports a standard 9-speed automatic transmission while the 330i comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
C 300 vs. 330i: Standard & Optional Features
Despite their entry-level statuses, the C 300 and 330i win drivers over by offering ample luxuries for their respective price-tags. Driver memory settings, split-folding rear seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are just a few of their shared features. If you’re shopping for a sedan you can optimize with add-ons, though, you’ll likely be more impressed with the C 300. Two of its options include:
- Cooled Seats: Perfect for warm weather in Fremont or Milpitas, the available cooled front seats include three levels of ventilation for a cool, relaxed ride.
- Electronic Trunk Lid: Optional HANDSFREE ACCESS® allows drivers to open the trunk with a soft kick under the rear bumper, which comes in handy during shopping trips or rainy weather.
C 300 vs. 330i: Driver Assists
Safety takes precedence in the 3-Series and C-Class Sedans. Front and side airbags, keyless entry, traction and stability control, and telematics are standard. The C 300 also comes with driver assists and a couple systems that aren’t available for the 330i, such as Crosswind Assist. Taking information from the vehicles Electronic Stability Program (ESP®), the system will work to keep the vehicle on course in Newark when hit with a strong lateral wind while traveling at highway speeds.
