National Trails Day is almost here! Put on your hiking shoes, grab some sun block on and hit a trail.

What Is National Trails Day?

The American Hiking Association hosts this day annually to raise awareness and celebrate America’s magnificent trail system. If you would like to get involved, find an in-person or virtual event here.

 

 

Trails throughout the Bay Area:

  1. Batteries to Bluffs Trail

    About: The trail is pretty short, which allows for you to extend your hike along the Coastal Trail to the Golden Gate Bridge.

  2. Marin Headlands

  3. Muir Woods and Tourist Club Loop

    About: How does a hike along the coastline and the woods sound? Muir Woods, also known as “A Tree Lover’s Monument,” is one of the most popular trails in the Bay Area; plus, it is also a monument and has redwood forest trees.

    About: With stunning views and beautiful wildlife to admire, Mission Peak is one of the most popular trails in Fremont, CA. P.S. Don’t be surprised if you see animals, such as turkeys and cows, while on your hike.

    About: Located near Fremont, CA, Coyote Hills Regional Park Trail is a dog friendly, 5.7 mile loop trail that is perfect for hikers of all skill levels.
