2019 C-Class Sedan Preview
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class isn’t up for a complete replacement for a few years. Eventually, future Mercedes-Benz vehicles will adopt an ultra-sleek and smooth body, featuring almost no character lines. But for 2019, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is getting more of a facelift than a redesign, with plenty of small updates to intrigue San Jose and Newark drivers. Read on to see what’s in store!
One of the most important changes is a stronger engine. The upcoming C 300 will feature a 2.0L turbo inline-4 engine that generates 255 hp rather than 241 hp. Torque will remain at 273 lb-ft. The AMG®-enhanced 3.0L biturbo V6 inside the AMG® C 43 is also expected to get a bump in power—28 hp more to be exact.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is also getting a few minor aesthetic updates for 2019, including a standard chrome-plated trim and restyled LED headlamps. Intelligent Light System—found on the E-Class and S-Class—will also be optional. New color options will also be available, including Mojave Silver Metallic and Emerald Green Metallic.
Almost all of the C-Class Sedan’s current interior features will carry over, but Milpitas and Sunol drivers can expect some exciting changes and new additions:
- Optional display will be 10.2 inches, instead of 8 inches
- Optional 3D mapping navigation from COMAND®
- Optional Car-to-X Communication
- Haptic feedback for the optional touchpad controller
- Optional wireless charging for smartphones and tablets
