In the U.S., Mercedes-Benz currently offers diesel vehicles in its E-, M-, GL-, and R-class models. And, they have an S-class on the way. Herbert Kohler, head of Daimler's E-Drive and Future Mobility unite, said Daimler is progressing quickly with their hybrid technologies and is planning to offer hybrid versions of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, E-Class, and S-Class cars in the U.S. and Europe in the next three years. This is a step in their effort to meet the tightening global fuel economy standards.
