The all new Mercedes-Benz AMG S63 for 2011 is a powerhouse of German engineering. The vehicle contains an intense 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8 engine.
That power plant has an output of 537 horsepower, 590 lb-ft of torque. With the AMG Performance Package, that gets tuned up to 563 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. The new S63 AMG couples both those iterations to the 7-speed Speedshift MCT transmission.
But how fast is the Mercedes-Benz AMG S63 you ask? The S63 hits 60 miles per hour in just 4.5 seconds - 4.4 seconds with the performance package.
Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph on the standard model and up to 186 mph when buyers opt for the package.
Along with all this hot performance upgrading, the buyer will also receive some style enhancements. The car comes with those flashy red and silver AMG logos on its rear, so all on the road know what you're driving.
Mercedes-Benz also added an Active Lane Keeping and Blind Spot Assistance system. Torque Vector braking keeps things tight when taking sharp corners, as well and the Direct Steer system also helps with handling and response in the curves.
Available starting this September, the all new 2011 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG will set you back a little bit, MSRP for the car starts around $189,000 and can surpass $200,000 if you're not conservative.
